Los Angeles and Alhambra Lunar New Year festivals

Local Lunar New Year activities:

Alhambra's 22nd Chinese New Year FestivalValley Boulevard between Garfield Avenue and Almansor StreetFeb. 16: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Alhambra will celebrate Chinese New Year with a dragon and lion dance show, a traditional Chinese play, Sichuan face-changing opera, games, and more! Free to the public.  

Chinatown's Golden Dragon Parade and Chinese New Year Festival Come to Chinatown and join others from the Southern California Chinese community to welcome the Year of the Snake. Festivities include:

Chinatown's 114th Annual Golden Dragon Parade Hill and Ord streets to Broadway and Cesar Chavez AvenueFeb. 16: 1-3 p.m.

Central Plaza Stage (New Chinatown)943-951 N. BroadwayFeb. 16: 12-8 p.m.Feb. 17: 12-5 p.m.

Chinatown's Chinese New Year FestivalPAMC Lot, 715 N. Hill StreetFeb. 16-17: 10 a.m.-9 p.m.
