SGV Council of Governments board member supports removal of executive director

A second San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments board member has voiced support for the removal of Executive Director Nick Conway, who has been questioned for his management of a $250,000 grant provided by CalTrans for the Gold Line.

Diamond Bar City Councilwoman Carol Herrera, who serves on the COG's executive committee, said that the news surrounding Conway may be distracting the COG from its duties. "No single individual is more important than the whole. Sometimes sacrifices need to be made, to preserve the greater good of the whole. That might include a change in executive director, or a change in the management agreement," Herrera said.
