Chinese-American elected officials encourage Chinese Americans to participate in Nov. 2 election

The association of Chinese-American Elected Officials (CEO) held an event in Rosemead to encourage Chinese Americans to participate in the Nov. 2 California election and explained the nine ballot propositions. Alhambra Mayor Stephen Sham expressed approval of proposition 22 which prohibits the state from borrowing or taking funds used for transportation, redevelopment, or local government projects and services. Sham told the Epoch Times that the state has taken $5 million from Alhambra due to California's budget crisis, and the money is unlikely to be returned.
