"Board members for the California High-Speed Rail Authority voted to move forward with the I-10 and SR-60 routes for further study on where to put their bullet train," the Pasadena Star-News reports. "Residents from Rosemead and Alhambra expressed concerns that their quality of life would be diminished by a proposed aerial structure for the train and instead asked officials to seriously consider a tunnel or trench."
