Alhambra hires 3 from O.C. for executive jobs
"The City Council this week ratified its city manager's decision to hire Cypress' police chief, Mark Yokoyama, Fountain Valley's fire chief, Bill Walker, and Westminster's finance director, Paul Espinoza," the Register reports. "The moves come as budget woes have prompted Cypress, Fountain Valley and other cities to talk about merging departments and services. Yokoyama will earn about $190,000 annually in Alhambra. His salary was about $175,800 in Cypress. Yokoyama, 43, who served as police chief for three years, said he is looking for 'opportunities to grow.'"
