Alhambra tied Burbank in the "Super Quiz" with 49 points, the top for the LA County competition. "The 30-question Super Quiz, held before cheering crowds of family and classmates, is usually a good indicator of which school will prevail in the 10-test regional round of the competition," the LA Times reports. "But this year the winner won't be known until all events are scored and announced at awards ceremonies on Thursday for L.A. County schools and Friday for L.A. Unified."
