Hit-and-run and fraud reports decreased in Alhambra in August, according to data from the Alhambra Police Department.
Hit-and-run reports went down to 17 last month compared to 26 in July, 23 in June, and 28 in May. Fraud reports hit a six-month low, with 10 recorded incidents compared to 23 in July, 31 in June, and 30 in May. February saw the lowest number of fraud reports in 2014 with 7 incidents.
However, auto burglary reports continue to fluctuate, hitting a 2014 high in August with 30 incidents. Alhambra police reminded residents Thursday to protect their vehicles from burglary. "Remember to always secure your vehicle. Do not leave your valuables in plain sight," the agency posted on Facebook.
