YMCA of West SGV Presents Community Awards and Fundraising Lunch

The YMCA of the West San Gabriel Valley’s Heart of the Community Awards & Fundraising Lunch will  honor  some of the people and foundations making the Y’s programs possible. The event will be held Tuesday, April 30 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Lakeview Room at Almansor Court, 780 S. Almansor Street, Alhambra, 91801.

This year’s honorees include the Alhambra Educational Foundation, Reyna Del Haro at Kaiser Permanente Foundation, SoCal Edison  Foundation and Nicole Tilley at William H. Tilley Foundation.

All proceeds raised at the April 30 event will fund the Y’s children programs including summer day camps, weekly field trips, basketball league, swim lessons, Camp Ta Ta Pochon, and after-school programs.

In addition, an announcement will be made at the luncheon about the Y’s new Children Center, made possible by the stewardship of Assemblymember Ed Chau and a $1.82 million grant from the California Department of Education.
