Alhambra Source provides objective and important news reporting for our community.
Efren Moreno, Former Alhambra Mayor
Thank you Alhambra Source for truly informing the residents of Alhambra.
Jeff Maloney, Alhambra City Council Member
The Source has become an important source for news, public interest, and serious journalism in our community. Keep it up!
As a career journalist and EJ advocate, I see community-based media like the Alhambra Source as crucial to democracy and equality.
I support Alhambra Source as often as I can because I believe a free and independent press is vital to the democratic process. No other news outlet with high journalistic standards consistently covers the stories and issues that matter to our community.
Adele Andrade Stadler, Alhambra City Council Member
The Source is a great independent newspaper that celebrates the communities and is not afraid to ask the tough questions!
Cliff Bender, Vice President, Alhambra Education Foundation

Alhambrans need to know the truth about our area!
Michael Lawrence, Alhambra Arts Commissioner
Keep bringing on the stories. The Source has given us so much and I am happy to donate to such an important part of our community.
Thank you for creating Alhambra Source and providing timely reporting of important local news. Fight on!
I support news reporting that is unbiased and informative. Really enjoy the excellent coverage on local city council and planning commission meetings.
Alhambra Source unifies the community and keeps us involved.
Such a valuable source of what’s happening in city where we live. Objective reporting that informs us and allows us to come to our own conclusions.
The Hive is keeping most of 2020 open with non-themed group shows for both October and December (sculpture show in November). If new or old to the Hive and you are itching to show that quarantine induced creativity, email your local Beehive of Art at: [email protected]!
* If new to the gallery, please email your website or Instagram.
* If you’ve shown at Hive and would like to contribute, please let us know in an email.
What are we looking for for our Non-themed Show?
Local artists or artists who are able to drop off on Monday, September 28th from 1-6pm, or Tuesday the 29th 1-6pm
Pieces that are in the 16×20 or under size range (if larger your work will need to be pre-approved by Curator Cartwright via email)
Artwork ready to hang with a wire or sawtooth on the back
Artists who are able to pick up unsold work on Monday, November 9th from 1-6pm
*HOW DO I SCHEDULE TO SEE THE SHOW?
For the safety of you and our artists, we are limiting the amount of guests in the gallery to 14 per hour (face masks required).
Those wishing to attend the event will just need to email [email protected] to let us know what hour you will be coming and the names of your accompanying guests.
This event will be all day from 1pm-10pm and we will be scheduling appointments, 14 guests per hour in our 3000 square foot Hive, to see and hear the visual honey!
To schedule your visit, we ask that you email us the week before the opening on October 3rd to choose the hour you and your guests would like to see the show.
Once 14 people fill up a slot, you will need to pick the next nearest
hour time slot. You and your guest’s names will be on the list at the
door when you arrive and you will have an hour for your Hive
experience. Please let us know by Friday, the 2nd at 6pm, the time you will be visiting, we will be busy hosting on Saturday and it will be difficult to properly add you to our visit schedule during the show.
FREE, but we will gladly accept donations at the door.
These funds will help pay for our services throughout the day.
For you and our resident and featured artist bee’s safety we will be:
requiring face masks
taking temperatures at the door
social distancing: you can get as close as you’d like to the art, just not more than 6 feet from our guests
We understand that these are tough times to get out and about!
If you are unable to visit the show in person, we will be streaming our DJ’s throughout the day on twitch at: www.twitch.tv/thesuperbee and will try to post on our Instagram account @hivegallery
