Pasadena Bead & Design Show

The 20th Pasadena Bead & Design Show begins on Thursday July 27, and goes through Sunday July 30, at the Hilton Pasadena. It is a 4-day celebration of handcraft and jewelry design –bringing together artistic beads, gemstones, one-of-a-kind jewelry, designer clothing, jewelry-making supplies, and vintage items. Visitors to the show
may shop and buy directly from artists and merchants at excellent prices.

More than three thousand show attendees are expected to participate in the dynamic visual experience of Pasadena Bead & Design Show –which combines rare products of meticulous detail, natural materials, and sensuous colors, with the ambiance of a handcrafter’s studio, with live demonstrations of handmade skills and techniques.

Do-it-yourself enthusiasts are invited to roll up their sleeves and take part in one or several of the some 150 workshops that are offered at all skill levels –in categories such as jewelry design, metal work, wirework, crystal setting, bead making, art clay silver, hand knotting, mixed media, chainmaille, and enameling.

Artists and merchants are carefully chosen by invitation and juried application, and include both traditional and contemporary artisans, quality dealers and wholesale suppliers, who will showcase a vast list of accessories and unusual items such as lampwork beads, felted hats, hand-cut gemstones, upcycled clothing, artwear, hand-dyed silks, raku beads, painted linen, hand tooled leather, and eco-dyed & upcycled clothing.

Open to the public –everyone welcome. Hours 10am-6pm, July 27 – 30 at Hilton Pasadena, 168 South Los Robles Avenue, Pasadena CA. Advanced admission price is $8 –or $10 at the door (good for all four days).
