On Friday, September 11, Family Promise of San Gabriel Valley is holding our first Night Without a Bed – an effort to raise understanding and awareness of the issue of family homelessness. We’re challenging our community of supporters to spend one night without their bed and spread the word about family homelessness in America by challenging at least one friend to join you. Family Promise of SGV is committed to holistic solutions that prevent and end family homelessness through a community based response. Every child deserves a bed to sleep in. Will you be part of the solution?
How to participate:
- On September 11, we ask participants to sleep anywhere without a bed – cars, a tent, a tree house, your living room floor, a couch.
- On social media. post a video or a photo. Use the hashtag #NightWithoutABed and #FPSGVRespondsTogether.
- Challenge your friends, family, and community – challenge a friend to complete #NightWithoutABed with you. Ask your friends and family to give to ensure that every child has a bed. Night Without a Bed is something you can do with your whole family!
- Become an FPSGV Fundraising Champion – In less than 5 minutes you can share why you are part of Family Promise SGV and believe in our mission to ensure every child has a bed. Just share the link to your personal page with your friends and family by email and through social media, and ask them to give to join you in being part of the solution.
