This story of hope in finding LOVE is universal, that message resonates with everybody because we’re on this planet and trying to figure out what our place on this earth is. No matter how advance in technology in movies, television and social media via Internet, there’s simply a fundamental human need…the feelings of belongingness and inclusion, the feeling of LOVE.

Happy Father Day musical will debut on 6-10-17 in Mandarin language, the first of it’s kind in America. An original play-write with 39 original tune & lyric recording in Shanghai, a cast of 28 professional and 25 high energy dancers couple with professional production team in lighting and audio, a must see Broadway bound production.

This original production is the collaboration among Global Cultural Creative Industries Foundation (GCCIF), California Creative & Performing Arts Center (CCPAC) and Elite Performing Arts Group USA (EPAGUSA). Yang and Sheng worked counterintuitively creating the script and music as a product plus interactive media for this one of its kind musical onstage.

Add Vivian Chan, a community advocate and mother of four, Chan continue her passion, focuses her time and resources toward the development of programs that can impact youth. Coming to the United States from Hong Kong at 14, attended Alhambra High School as an English As A Second Language learner. Chan is immersed in youth education programs, PTA work in the greater Pasadena San Gabriel Valley, and the philanthropic community for over 27 years.
In 2013 Vivian Chan partnered with The Pasadena Playhouse (Sheldon Epps, Artistic Director, and Elizabeth Doran, Executive Director), produced a very successful show JUNIOR’S GOT TALENT, an education-focused youth talent showcase that took place on the main stage of The Pasadena Playhouse.

“As a mother of four absolutely beautiful children! I know firsthand that, like a child walking on a pathway, you can never tell what small pebble picked up along the way will direct them to their dreams. These pebbles become like treasure to them as they move toward the accomplishment of educational goals and dreams,” stated Vivian Chan. “This project is a labor of love, intended to provide many pebbles of opportunity to our community’s talents. It is our hope that through this educational journey, these young people will gain experience, and blossom in their own way.”

“We are thrilled to collaborate with Vivian on this exciting Theatrical Diversity Initiative’s program which explores and celebrates the human experience shared by people of all backgrounds. This initiative empowers and enriches young people of diverse ethnicities through free performances and arts education programs”. Said Yang, Director of ‘Happy Father’s Day’ an original musical.

The Theatrical Diversity Initiative’s vision is to build a legacy of artistic and theatrical diversity at greater Pasadena San Gabriel Valley. It’s mission is committed to promote, mentor and cultivate diverse programming in performance arts by engaging writers, actors, designers, stage Tech and producers/directors of all ethnic backgrounds and providing opportunities within the craft to all age groups, on and off the stage.

Chan will take lead on this initiative, engage students from local high schools’ performance arts’ programs, will be inviting them to attend the debut musical on June 10, host master classes with professionals, and cultivate opportunities to be highlighted at special events in the future.

Follow the pebbles along the path to find the way to your dreams!

“Our society so clearly needs to give our youth avenues for positive self-expression, gathering people that appreciate performance arts in a theater to hear human stories will provide a sense of connection; it’s an essence of the human spirit. And this program is one effort to achieve this goal.” Said Angela Sheng, producer of “Happy Father’s Day”.
