I’m a lifelong resident of Alhambra and having a local newspaper, like Alhambra Source, is very important to me. It’s the only way to know the issues that will directly affect my day to day, where I live. That’s why I decided to support Alhambra Source with a monthly donation.

Did you know?

• More than 1 in 4 middle school + high school students are vaping nicotine. Peer pressure is driving use.

• Vaping likely affects teenage brain development: Research on young animals shows that nicotine can interfere with processes critical to memory, learning, focus, impulse control and brain development. The potential for longterm harm to a still-developing teenage brain is troubling.

• Vaping 1/2 pod of e-liquid = 1/2 pack traditional cigarettes: Among students who vape, most do so almost every day.

• Vaping is causing addiction + is linked to severe lung problems in middle school and high school students. Quitting is difficult and there are few resources to help.
