Community Meeting-Affordable Homes

Joslyn Recreation Center

Dear Community Member,

We want to hear from you! American Family Housing, a non-profit organization, cordially invites you to attend community meetings about proposed affordable homes in the City of Alhambra.

In July 2019, the City of Alhambra issued a Request for Proposals to develop a city-owned parking lot in the heart of Downtown Alhambra (Second Street Main near the Central Library). American Family Housing submitted a design plan, and in October 2019, was awarded the Request for Proposals.

We are proposing a high-quality, attractive building that will incorporate extensive community feedback and site research. Once completed, families and individuals will move into their new affordable homes where they will be citizens, taxpayers and community members of Alhambra. During these meetings, you will have an opportunity to learn more about the proposal and share your ideas and concerns with us. We want to ensure that we hear from our neighbors before we move forward. Please join us! Please come for any part or all of the time!

If you have any questions before the meeting or during the process, please contact us at [email protected] or at (714) 897-3221 ext. 145.
