El Monte resident booked in Friday night DUI and hit and run

The driver who is suspected of causing a car accident Friday night that injured two pedestrians is Abundio Flores-Ramon, 21, of El Monte, according to the Alhambra Police Department. Flores-Ramon is being held on $100,000 bail, and was booked on one count of driving under the influence, and one count of hit and run.

As Sergeant Jerry Johnson described in an email to the Alhambra Source, Flores-Ramon was traveling eastbound on Main Street Friday night, when he hit two pedestrians, a mother and her three-year-old daughter, and continued driving. He then hit two cars. Two people in those vehicles were transported to local hospitals. As of Saturday morning, the mother had been released from the hospital, while the daughter was in serious but stable condition.

Flores-Ramon was also taken to the hospital, and then released into Alhambra Police Department custody. His first court appearance is scheduled for this Wednesday.
