Council to vote on returning two-way traffic to First Street

Alhambra City Council will discuss Monday returning two-way traffic to First Street between Main Street and Commonwealth Avenue, and removing angled parking in front of the Alhambra Public Library, City Hall, and Police Department. Council will also consider designating First Street between Main Street and Woodward Avenue a one-way street during the construction of a multilevel parking structure on First and Main. Second Street will remain a one-way street with angled parking.

Council members will also authorize the budget for Alhambra's annual Fourth of July fireworks show at Almansor Park, estimated at $24,000, according to the City Council agenda. If approved, Zambelli Fireworks will supply fireworks for the show.

City Council meets every second and fourth Monday of the month at 5:30 and 7 p.m. at City Hall. Read the complete agenda below. You can also download the document or make it larger using the controls on the bottom.
