City council will hold Monday a public hearing on an ordinance that will remove height restrictions from hedges, prohibit the use of security bars on residential properties, remove the Planning Commission from the review of public art, among other actions. The ordinance will amend the zoning regulations—Title 23— in the city’s municipal code to enact these changes.
According to city documents these changes stem from the “process of annually updating the Zoning Code to address current conditions.”
The council will hear Monday a first reading of the ordinance, after which they will vote on it. They will have to approve it again at a second reading for the ordinance to be adopted. Residents will have the opportunity to speak on the matter at Monday’s hearing.
City Council usually meets every second and fourth Monday of the month at 5:30 and 7 p.m. at City Hall. Read the complete agenda below. You can also download the document or make it larger using the controls on the bottom.
