Construction on Garfield and Valley to be completed by Friday

The sewer line improvement project has reached the intersection of Garfield Avenue and Valley Boulevard, which is expected to be completed by April 8.

This construction is part of the Valley Boulevard and Almansor Street Sewer Replacement Project that started last November. The project didn't reach Garfield and Valley, however, until March 29th, said Deputy of Director of Utilities at the Public Works Department Dennis Ahlen. The construction focuses on a pipe that runs along Valley Blvd; workers will be working on the pipe from Garfield Ave to Almansor St. The entire project will be completed by the end of April.

The Alhambra Police Department posted on their Facebook page to remind drivers to take alternate routes as the construction site is “one of the busiest intersections in the city” and heavy traffic is expected around the site.
