Climbing Walls? Ping Pong? The Future of Alhambra Parks

The city wants your ideas about how to improve local parks. As part of an effort to get money from Sacramento, a series of community meetings are being held at four parks throughout the city. The Alhambra Feed checked out a meeting on Wednesday night and found an almost empty room with just three hardy souls who had braved the rain. There were some interesting ideas, though: a climbing wall and padded walking path at Alhambra Park, new bike paths throughout the city. But we’re curious what other ideas are out there for the parks. We’ll be at meetings the next few days — but if you don’t feel like coming out, let us know what you think could make your local park better.

Independent journalism is a bedrock of democracy--and it's in crisis. Here at the Alhambra Source, we're committed to covering the local stories that matter most to you. We don’t have advertisers and we don’t have pay walls, but we do have bills. You read to the end of this story. That's great. But this kind of journalism will end without public support. Join us!
