Southern California Edison will hold a presentation at tonight’s council meeting to address concerns about the power grid. Representatives will explain how the company is dealing with the El Nino season, and what they are doing to prevent power outages. They will also elaborate on the company’s plans to upgrade Alhambra’s power grid for 2016.
On the consent agenda, council will vote on several pending contracts and projects. The city will vote on appropriating funds from the Community Development Block Grant for projects in both Granada Park and Almansor Park.
Council will also vote on contracts with water service firms. AKM Consulting Engineers is expected to receive a contract to work on the city’s water master plan, while Hunsaker And Associates will work on sewer mainline improvements along Valley Boulevard.
