Car crash causes power outage in Alhambra (San Gabriel Valley Tribune)A man caused a power outage after crashing a car into a street light, power pole, and electrical transformer on Atlantic Boulevard south of Commonwealth Avenue Saturday morning. Police closed down Atlantic between Commonwealth and Mission Road during repairs, which were expected to be completed by Saturday afternoon. The driver suffered minor injuries.

Foot pursuit leads to escaped car burglary suspect (Alhambra Police Department Facebook page)Alhambra police officers chased two suspects on foot early Monday morning after finding them inside a vehicle with recently smashed windows on South Stoneman Avenue. One of the suspects was able to escape while the other was caught and being taken into custody for confirmed auto burglary. Anyone with information about the suspects is asked to contact the Alhambra Police Department.

Woman struck by car on Huntington Drive (Pasadena Star-News)A woman was hospitalized after being struck by a car Saturday morning while crossing Huntington Avenue at Alhambra Road. She was within a marked crosswalk. The cause of the accident is still under investigation, but the driver stayed on the scene and is cooperating with police.
