Car chase through Alhambra ends in arrest

A rush hour high-speed chase that went through Alhambra ended in a standoff, shots, and an arrest in El Sereno Tuesday morning.
LAPD officers initially tried to stop a white sedan on Cesar Chavez Avenue in Boyle Heights at 8:45 am, and discovered it was a stolen vehicle. Officers then, aided by helicopters, pursued the suspect through Alhambra, San Gabriel, San Marino and Pasadena. The chase ended in a driveway on Barrett Road in the El Sereno hills. Officers fired a bean-bag round through the driver's window, and then broke the rear passenger-side window. The suspect, face bloody, was dragged by officers from the car and arrested.
