Are there any adult Mandarin classes in Alhambra?

QUESTION: "I was looking for adult Mandarin classes in Alhambra but I could not find any. I find it strange considering that neighboring cities have it and Alhambra, where I live, doesn't. Do you know if in fact there is a community-based weekend Mandarin class in Alhambra?" -Claudia, June 18 via email

ANSWER: Alhambra's Park and Recreation does not currently offer any Mandarin classes. However, the Los Angeles Chinese Learning Center offers online Chinese courses and group classes in Alhambra.

Mandarin Friends, a group on the networking website Meetup.com, is based in Los Angeles and brings together Mandarin learners for conversation practice. Members often meet in the San Gabriel Valley.
