Student Art Contest to Inspire the Design For the 2021 Rose Parade Float

The City of Alhambra and the Alhambra Chamber of Commerce is launching an Art Contest asking students to help inspire the design for the City’s 2021 Tournament of Roses Parade Float. The theme for 2021 is, “Dream. Believe. Achieve,” which celebrate education’s ability to open doors, open minds, and change lives!

The design Art Contest is open to all students enrolled in grades K-12 that reside in the City of Alhambra.

Students must submit their artwork along with the application. All mediums –from digital design to crayons—will be accepted. The artwork must be related to the theme of “Dream. Believe. Achieve.”

Students attending Alhambra Unified School District will receive their applications in their classrooms this week. Applications can also be picked up at City Hall, Almansor Park, Alhambra Park, Joslyn Center and the Civic Center Library. The application is also on the City’s website to download. The deadline to turn in the application is Monday, March 2, 2020 by 12 p.m.

The winner of the art contest will be awarded two VIP tickets to the 2021 Rose Parade where they can watch their design float down Colorado Boulevard on New Year’s Day morning.
