San Gabriel Valley Free Citizenship Workshop

Congresswoman Judy Chu (D-CA) along with the National Association of Latino Elected Officials Education Fund, Asian Pacific American Legal Center, and other San Gabriel Valley Community Leaders and Groups will host a San Gabriel Valley Citizenship Workshop on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at the Florentine Gardens in El Monte. The purpose of the workshop is to provide FREE assistance with the Naturalization application (N-400) including; application assistance (trained volunteers will fill out your application), application review by an immigration attorney, passport photos, step-by-step review of the naturalization process, and packing materials to mail your application. The office of Citizenship & Immigration Services, USCIS, will also be available to answer any questions regarding the citizenship process.

Citizenship Eligible Requirements: Application Service is limited to the FIRST 500 people. Must be at least 18 years of age; must be a Legal Permanent Resident for at least 5 years, OR, if married to a U.S. citizen, must have been a Legal Permanent Resident for at least 3 years; must have basic knowledge of U.S. History and Government; must be able to read, write, speak and understand basic English; Must have good moral character.
