Saint Anthony School is being awarded the Congressional Commendation award for it's outstanding and continued service to the community.

Saint Anthony School is the recipient of the Certificate of Congressional Commendation from Congresswoman Dr. Judy Chu, for it's outstanding dedication and service to the community.  The ceremony will take place during the Saint Anthony Annual Silent Auction event in the school campus auditorium. Rep. Chu will be in attendance to present the award to Principal Buckowski.

"We are very honored to be recognized for our continued efforts in education and for the betterment of our community" said Principal Buckowski. "Throughout the year our school program and school clubs hold fundraisers that benefit our community." added Buckowski,  "Our school motto says it all – Faith, Academics and Service."  A few of the fundraisers that Saint Anthony held this school year was the annual can food drive for needy families.  Two goodwill semi-trucks were filled with furniture and clothing, we collected over 60 pounds of used shoes for third world countries families in need.

The Ceremony will take place on Saturday, March 9th at 5:30pm in the Saint Anthony School campus Auditorium, located at 1901 S. San Gabriel Blvd in the City of San Gabriel.  Parking is available through California Street.

About Saint Anthony School Saint Anthony School was founded in 1948 and we are dedicated to providing a quality Catholic Education through which students develop spiritually, are challenged to achieve academically, and contribute meaningfully to society.

About Congresswoman Judy Chu Rep Chu was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives for California's 32nd District in July 2009.  In the 112th Congress, Rep. Chu serves on the Judiciary Committee, where she is a member of the Crime, Terrorism, and Homeland Security and the Intellectual Property. Rep. Chu earned her B.A. Inmathematics from UCLA and her Ph.D. In psychology form the California School of Professional Psychology.
