Open House Meeting for MOMS Club of Monterey Park extended to Alhambra residents

Monterey Park , CA United States

The MOMS Club of Monterey Park, CA has expanded its reach to include mothers in the city of Alhambra. Interested mothers are invited to attend an Open House meeting to learn more.

The MOMS Club (MOMS Offering Moms Support) is a support group for at-home mothers, designed to connect local moms to each other. The Monterey Park chapter was launched in July by Monterey Park resident Liz Chang.

“I started our MOMS Club chapter to meet other mothers with babies and young children,” said Chang. “As a new mom, I enjoy making friends with other mothers who have children around my son’s age.” Chang has an eight-month old son. The MOMS Club will have monthly meetings and regular park play days. Members may also form activity groups for age-based playgroups, MOMS Night Out and other special interests.

“The club will be what we, the moms, make it,” said Chang. “This is anexciting time for moms to join the club and shape its future.”

MOMS Club meetings and activities are held during the day, when mothers need the most support. Children and babies are welcome at all MOMS Club events. Mothers with children of any age may join, but most activities are geared toward those with babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers. Expectant mothers are always welcome.

More than a social club, the MOMS Club is a service organization. In addition to regular club meetings and activities, the club will perform service projects at least annually to help needy children in our community.

For more information about the club, visit www.momsclubmontereypark.org. For upcoming meeting dates and locations, e-mail club president Liz Chang at [email protected]

The MOMS Club of Monterey Park, CA is the local chapter of the International MOMS Club, a nonprofit run by and for mothers with over 2,100 chapters and 100,000 members worldwide. For information on the International MOMS Club, visit www.momsclub.org.
