LAMP Optimist Club seeking to establish a "Satellite" club in the Alhambra area

LAMP Optimist Club is seeking to establish a "Satellite" club in the Alhambra area. We will be having an initial organizing meeting in April at a time, date and location to be determined.

The primary purpose will be provide an organization for Alhambra residents and business people who wish to be volunteers in the service of the children of the community. Our initial intent is to hold a monthly meetings with a guest speaker of interest to the members. Overtime, the group will determine volunteer projects. Much of the  future "meetings" or discussions are  envisioned to be by email, except for the monthly meetings.

If you are interested, please email Dave Barron at [email protected], so that we can keep you on our email list. The only requirement is that they be at least 18 years of age. If you have a suggestion for a meeting place and time, please advise us.

For more information on the Optimist organization, please go to www.optimist.org. LAMP Optimist club has been in existence since 1957. There is an Alhambra Optimist Club, but they are primarily involved in sponsoring a youth basketball program.

If you have any questions, please call Dave at the number below or my cell phone at (626) 607-6837.
