Domestic Violence Awareness Month collection drive in the San Gabriel Valley

Representative Judy Chu (D-CA32),  in partnership with Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park Medical Center and various local women’s shelters, will help kick off a month-long collection drive that will benefit survivors of domestic violence.

The drive will be collecting gently used women's and children's clothing, household cleaning products, toiletries, school supplies and used cell phones that will be given to domestic violence survivors served by shelters throughout Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley.

The official start of the drive is scheduled to begin October 1 with collection centers at Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park Medical Center located at 1011 Baldwin Park Blvd., and it's medical offices in Diamond Bar, Montebello, San Dimas and West Covina. A day-long collection event will be held at Westfield West Covina on Saturday, Oct. 22, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m
