Elba Alonso de Ortega

I’m a lifelong resident of Alhambra and having a local newspaper, like Alhambra Source, is very important to me. It’s the only way to know the issues that will directly affect my day to day, where I live. That’s why I decided to support Alhambra Source with a monthly donation.

Efren Moreno, Former Alhambra Mayor

Celebrate the Grand Opening of KidsZone Preschool Academy in Pasadena

Location

Pasadena

1206 Lincoln Ave.
Pasadena , CA 91103 United States

The KidsZone Preschool Academy will officially open its doors the last week of April 2019, providing residents of Pasadena and Northeast Los Angeles a childcare and early-learning facility that emphasizes a culturally diverse and inclusive atmosphere.

To celebrate, founders Yvonne Withers and Jermaine Harris invite community members and their children to attend the grand opening on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, an event that will feature guided tours, complimentary refreshments, and a bounce house for the kids.

Withers is no stranger to Pasadena. Her son, NFL player Marcedes Lewis, is an UCLA alum, where he earned All-American honors and actually played in the Rose Bowl.

Withers is also no stranger to putting a spotlight on helping children. She currently serves as CFO of the Marcedes Lewis Foundation, a non-profit organization that holds camps and offers scholarships to youth in the community who otherwise would not be able to participate in sports.

Harris is a professor of economics, documentary filmmaker and youth mentor.

For the grand opening of her newest educational venture, Withers will be on-site to greet and encourage parents to inquire about the many inspired ways in which KidsZone Preschool Academy can enrich their infant, toddler, or preschooler’s development.

The KidsZone Preschool Academy Grand Opening Event is Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 12pm, held on campus at 1206 Lincoln Ave., Pasadena, CA 91103. Please RSVP to https://kpagrandopening.eventbrite.com.
