Applications Now Being Accepted for Alhambra Chalk Art Contest on 9/15/19


Alhambra , CA United States

The Downtown Alhambra Business Association (DABA) will present the very first Alhambra Chalk Art Contest on Sunday, September 15, 2019, as part of the Annual Latino Heritage Festival.

The event will be held outdoors between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on 2nd Street between Main Street and Commonwealth.

Cash prizes totaling $1,000.00 will be awarded! Best of Show winner will receive a cash award of $500.00 and Runner Up will receive $250.00.  There will also be a cash award of $250.00 for Peoples Choice.

In addition to watching skilled chalk artists produce extraordinary works of art, event attendees will be able to enjoy the Alhambra Farmers Market and live entertainment on the main stage.  Attendees can also enjoy shopping and dining in downtown Alhambra.

Contest information:

The contest will be limited to fifty (50) entrants.  Entrants will be selected from among applications received by the Alhambra Committee on Arts and Cultural Events (CACE).
