Annual Back-to-School Tzu Chi Food Bank Press Conference
Location
Alhambra High School
The US Census Bureau estimates that roughly 7.5 million Californians live below the poverty line and an estimated 4.6 million struggle with food insecurity. While public schools may be free, new clothing and shoes for growing children, school supplies, snacks, and so much more can add a gradual yet great burden to families struggling with poverty and hunger. Tzu Chi USA aims to help Southern Californians bridge those gaps by hosting its 3rd annual Back-to-School Food Bank to provide free backpacks, school supplies, books, haircuts, as well as nonperishable foods and groceries. Our press conference seeks to announce this event and share it with the general public.
Alhambra Mayor Adele Andrade-Stadler, Tzu Chi USA CEO Han Huang will lead the conference.
WHEN: Saturday, August 3rd, 2019, 9:30 am – 10:30 am
WHERE: Alhambra High School, 101 S 2nd St, Alhambra, CA 91801
