Alhambra Police Department's NIXLE Community Alert System

NIXLE Community Alert system

Clear communication during the recent wind storms created a problem throughout the San Gabriel Valley.  During this time the Alhambra Police Department found the text messaging ability of the Nixle Community Alert system to be their best means of disseminating information to residents who have subscribed to the NIXLE system.   Nixle is a free alert system which the Alhambra Police Department uses to quickly deliver important information to the cell phones and e-mail addresses of Alhambra residents. To receive these messages, visit the nixle.com website and register your cell phone and e-mail addresses.  The service is free and secure.  It has been designed and is strictly to be used for the purpose of delivering public safety messages only. Your contact information is kept in a confidential database.  You can “unsubscribe” from the service anytime you want to, leaving you in total control of the messages and whether you want to receive them or don’t want to receive them.  For more information on how Nixle can keep you up to date on community events, visit www.nixle.com.  If you have any questions or need help subscribing for the service, please call the Crime Prevention Office at (626) 570-5177.
