Alhambra Honda Hosts School Supply Drive this month

GOUDY HONDA (1400 W Main St. Alhambra) will be hosting their School Supply Drive to benefit Marguerita Elementary School in Alhambra until Labor Day. Each dealership will be filling big, blue bins with school supply donations. Residents and community members are invited to join the Guys in Blue's Random Acts of Helpfulness by dropping off paper, binders, pocket folders, backpacks, rulers, pencils, pencil cases, or other helpful items at their local dealer.

WHAT: The Helpful Honda Guys in Blue are bringing their Random Acts of Helpfulness to local schools!

To kick of the new school year, the SoCal Honda Dealers are hosting Back to School Supply Drives to provide much-needed supplies to elementary, middle, and high schools across Southern California.  The Helpful Back to School Supply Drives take place from August 18th through Labor Day September 1st at over 50 Honda dealerships in Los Angeles County, Orange County, the Inland Empire, San Bernardino and Ventura Counties.

To find a dealer nearest you and drop off a donation, please visit: www.SoCalHondaDealers.com/Find-a-Dealer.  To learn more about SoCal Honda's Random Acts of Helpfulness, please visit: www.facebook.com/SoCalHondaDealers.

Making sure kids start the school year off with the necessary supplies is just another way the Guys in blue are helping out in the community.  For the last eight years, the Helpful teams have surprised residents every week with unexpected acts of helpfulness, such as: recognizing deserving teachers over Teacher Appreciation Week; hosting holiday events for less fortunate kids and families; handing out complimentary pumpkins for kids at pumpkin patches across SoCal; opening doors for shoppers and handing out water on a hot day.

This summer, SoCal Honda sent out a Free Ice Cream Truck to delight kids of all ages with free ice cream, and dispatched its Big, Blue Tanker Truck to surprise loyal Honda drivers with complimentary gas during busy summer travel. Other Random Acts of Helpfulness include helping residents load groceries; picking up litter at parks, beaches and shopping plazas; paying for valet parking on Father's Day; surprising moms with complimentary movie tickets to say happy Mother's Day; and giving thrill-seekers complimentary parking at Magic Mountain, and Dodgers fans upgraded seats and tickets to upcoming games!  It's their job to be helpful –no strings attached.
