Alhambra business owner Adriana Martinez recognized as outstanding business community member

On September 30, 2010, Assembly member Mike Eng (D-Monterey Park) presented awards to outstanding business community members and organizations in recognition of the 49th Assembly District’s 2010 Latino Heritage Month Celebration. The event took place at the Garvey Community Center in the City of Rosemead.
Among the award winners was Adriana Martinez, owner of Adriana Martinez Group in the City of Alhambra, Ms. Martinez has been an outstanding entrepreneur with the opening of her own business in 2007. Ms. Martinez throughout her career has helped to shape underserved communities in the 49th Assembly District and surrounding communities.
September 15th was chosen as the first day for the celebration because it is Independence Day of five Latin American countries: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. Respectively, Mexico and Chile celebrate their independence days on September 16 and September 18.
