Academy of Special Dreams Gives Scholarship to a College Artists with Disabilities

The Academy of Special Dreams announced today its second yearly award of cash scholarships at a reception for Vive The Special DREAM Art Exhibition 2010 hosted by the Alhambra City Hall, Alhambra, California, during which the creative talents of Artists with special needs were recognized.  The scholarships were awarded to Aaron W. Pfeitffer who contributed works of art and photography for the exhibition at the Alhambra City Hall

“The creative talents of these young people deserve to be recognized,” said Michael Dergar, President and CEO of the Pasadena-based Academy of Special Dreams.  “The Special Academy’s mission is to provide opportunities for adults of the special needs community to encourage, promote and showcase their artistic expressions.  We give many thanks to the City of Alhambra  for collaborating with us and the Woo Education Foundation for its financial support.”

A reception sponsored by the Academy of Special Dreams. Our mission is to increase public awareness, recognition and appreciation of the creative talents of people with disabilities.  Approximately 400 people participated in our Successful Event!
