An electrical engineer from Alhambra

"I came to America in 1960 from Germany. I went to Park School and Alhambra High School. I've been working as an electrical engineer for 46 years, keeping the lights on in Southern California."

Humans of Alhambra: "What do you like about living here?"

"It's very multicultural; people from all over the world come here and make it what it is — beautiful. The food is good too."

Alhambra Source recently partnered with the Humans of Alhambra Facebook page to bring you photos that try to capture the spirit of Alhambra and its residents. Humans of Alhambra is styled after the photo blog Humans of New York and is run by Alhambra High School students from The Moor Weekly newspaper and The Alhambran yearbook.

Independent journalism is a bedrock of democracy--and it's in crisis. Here at the Alhambra Source, we're committed to covering the local stories that matter most to you. We don’t have advertisers and we don’t have pay walls, but we do have bills. You read to the end of this story. That's great. But this kind of journalism will end without public support. Join us!
