Alhambra Unified program receives 49th Assembly District Legacy Award

Assemblyman Mike Eng honored Alhambra Unified School District's Gateway to Success program on Thursday for working to improve the mental health of students in the district. The program was among 18 organizations and individuals to receive a 49th Assembly District Legacy Award for "exceptional leadership" in the community.

“As I reflect back on our legislative accomplishments, it is with immense pride that we are able to honor these outstanding individuals and organizations who deserve recognition for the positive impact their altruism has had in the district and California,” Eng, who is completing his final term as assemblyman, said in a press release.

Eng also honored Alhambra small-business owner Stan Yonemoto of Yonemoto Physial Therapy, Dr. Ken Sim of the Allied Physicians of California, and water and environmental consultant Gabriel Monares. Read the full list of honorees below.
