LA Speed Shop owner Chris Richardson, who the Alhambra Source profiled last spring, is gearing up for a championship that brings together the most talented and innovative custom bike builders worldwide. Richardson, a custom motorcycle builder, will be entering a 1920’s, skinny bike with custom 28-inch wheels in the Artistry in Iron Master Championship, the Pasadena Star-News reports.
"It usually takes me about six months to build a custom bike for a customer," he told the Star-News. "But this one I basically built in a week."
Richardson already holds last year’s Iron Master Champion title and has expanded his international reputation as a builder who works on classic bikes. "I just love old stuff," he told the Star-News. "They just don't make stuff like they used to. There was a style to then that you just don't see anymore."
