Alhambra resident, former Harlem Globetrotter, missing

Former Harlem Globetrotter and Alhambra resident Rico Omarr Harris, 37, was reported missing after authorities found his car abandoned Oct. 13 in Yolo County, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Harris departed from Alhambra on Oct. 10 at 1 a.m. to visit his girlfriend in Seattle, Washington. He lives with his mother, according to KTLA, but was planning on moving in with his girlfriend in the future. Harris’ mother last spoke to him at 9 a.m. that morning and Harris left a message on his girlfriend’s phone at 10:45 a.m. the same day. Harris has not been heard from since then.

The Yolo County Sheriff's Department has conducted ground and air searches looking for Harris, reports the Pasadena Star-News.

Authorities are still searching for Harris and anyone with information is encouraged to call the Yolo County Sheriff’s Department at (530) 668-5280.
