Alhambra purse snatcher drags victims 30 feet

A male robbery suspect used force to steal a woman's purse Monday in Alhambra, dragging her down the street before fleeing the scene.

The suspect grabbed a 44-year-old Asian woman's purse on the 1400 block of East Valley Boulevard around 2 p.m. while she was walking her four-year-old daughter, according to a press release from the Alhambra Police Department. The woman refused to let go of her purse and the suspect dragged her and her daughter approximately 30 feet. Both victims suffered abrasions but declined transportation to the hospital. The suspect fled the scene in a small, dark SUV.
