Alhambra man killed in wrong-way crash on freeway in Studio City

A wrong-way motorist was killed in a head-on crash on the Ventura (101) freeway in the Studio City region. The coroner office identified the victim was 39-year-old Richard Dominguez of Alhambra, according to My News LA.

The crash occurred at 4 a.m. on Saturday. Dominguez was driving a 1997 Honda traveling eastbound in the fast lane of the westbound Ventura 101 Freeway, just west of Laurel Canyon Boulevard and struck a 2015 Lexus. The driver of Lexus was extricated from the car by fire department paramedics and was transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and treated for minor injuries. Dominguez died at the scene, Los Angeles Daily News reported.

Officials haven't released information about the cause of the collision.
