Alhambra Lawn Bowling Club scores

The 27-year-old Alhambra Lawn Bowling Club proudly presented the three trophies won this year at its Christmas banquet, World Journal reports.

The club earned the championship of Valley League Trophy and Leiberg Trophy this year; both for the ninth consecutive year in a decade. The club also won the Carl Waterbury All League Trophy after its 2007 triumph.

The 60 club members come from a diverse background and meet three times a week to practice at the Almansor Park.

Lawn Bowling requires eyes to observe, brain to analyze, and hands and feet to coordinate, the club president told the World Journal. The sport is suitable for players from all ages. The club provides free classes on lawn bowling at the lawn of Almansor Park (800 S. Almansor St, Alhambra) every Saturday at 8:45 a.m. For more information please call Tom Ly at 626-327-8357.
