Alhambra High School students evacuated after reported gas leak

Alhambra High School students and teachers returned to classes Tuesday morning after a gas leak report led to an evacuation, Alhambra Police Department posted 10:07 a.m. on Facebook

"All back to normal!" the agency posted.

Alhambra police and fire departments received a call Tuesday morning from someone who smelled gas in one of the high school's classrooms, the Alhambra Police Department posted 7:39 a.m. Authorities evacuated students and teachers to the school's track field on Fourth Street while they did a sweep of the campus. 

"Alhambra Fire and Police are conducting a sweep of the campus as a precaution before allowing students back on campus," the police department posted. "It's a big campus and this will take some time."
