Alhambra health center receives grant for medical supplies

Chinatown Service Center (CSC), a Los Angeles-based health center with a clinic on Garfield Avenue, received in November a donation of health care products under a grant from Henry Schein, Inc. The medical supplier will donate products valued at $5,000–$25,000 over two years, according to a statement from CSC.

The Alhambra clinic provides services to low- to moderate-income individuals and families in Spanish, Chinese, and English. The donation from Henry Schein will help the service center save on supplies and equipment and allocate more money to health services for the community, according to CSC Development Coordinator Bonnie Chen.

CSC's San Gabriel Valley Community Health Center is located at 320 S. Garfield Ave., Suite 118, Alhambra, Calif., 91801.
