Alhambra Citizens Police Academy recruiting students

The Alhambra Police Department is accepting applications to its 29th Citizens Police Academy. The 10-session course introduces residents to the inner workings of the Alhambra Police Department and all facets of modern-day law enforcement.
Veteran law enforcement officers teach the sessions which cover law enforcement topics such as criminal and civil law, patrol procedures, and crime-scene investigations. Participants are also invited to “ride-a-long” with a patrol officer on duty. Classes will be held on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM at the Alhambra Police Department between April 3 and June 5, 2013. To be eligible, one must be a local resident, at least 18 years of age and, submit an application by March 30, 2013 to the Alhambra Police Department.
