Alhambra Chinese restaurants prepare Thanksgiving turkeys

Thanksgiving needs a turkey, but a Chinese turkey?

The holiday is fast approaching and local Chinese restaurants are preparing a version of the Thansgiving classic that fits with Chinese tastes, World Journal (世界日报) reported. The turkeys are sometimes roasted like the much more popular duck, or served with a special Cantonese gravy. On the side are not mashed potatoes but sticky rice or fried beef rice.

Although the costs of Turkey had gone up significantly this year, Chinese restaurants promised to keep the same price in fear of losing costumers, accodring to World Journal. The owners recommend early pre order and pick up to ensure for the best quality turkeys.
