A man charged with robbing seven Southern California banks — including one in Alhambra — was sentenced Tuesday to 6 1/2 years in federal prison, the San Marino Tribune reports.
Dwight McGarrah, 31, pleaded guilty in July to federal bank robbery charges, according to the San Marino Tribune. McGarrah held up seven banks between August 2012 and February 2013, including Bank of the West branches in Alhambra and Rosemead. He was arrested Feb. 22 after the robbery of a Wells Fargo branch in La Verne.
