41-year-old man dies in Alhambra garage fire *Updated

A fire on the 400 block of South Fifth Street claimed the life on Wednesday of a 41-year-old man, according to the Alhambra Fire Department. The fire took place in a detached double-door garage around approximately 10:18 am. The man, whose mother indicated to authorities that he had mental issues, sustained severe burns and was transferred to the Los Angeles County and USC Medical Center. He died there at around 4 pm. No further details have been released. The Alhambra Fire Department said there will be a full investigation.

  1. Yeah I’m sure there will be an “investigation” just like the “investigation” where the previous fire chief failed to do & as a result an Asian employee was fired because he spoke out about the shoddy job done.
