13 injured in suspected DUI crash in Alhambra

A man crashed on Sunday into two vehicles and a group of pedestrians looking at holiday lights on Fremont Avenue, injuring 13 people, authorities said. Eleven people were taken to the hospital, with one remaining in intensive care Monday morning, according to NBC Los Angeles.

The driver, Ismael Soto of Los Angeles, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after he made a left turn around 8:30 p.m. and hit two vans, sending one over the curb and the other into a group of spectators, witnesses told NBC. Soto has a revoked license and prior convictions including DUI and hit-and-run, according to NBC.
